Annual Report
|
The Annual Fund is the School's number one fundraising priority. The
Annual Fund provides critical support to the School's operating
budget by offsetting expenses not covered by tuition and fees. Gifts
to the Fund directly and immediately benefit each student and
faculty member as well as every program on campus. The annual fund
may also be the vehicle by which certain educational initiatives are
accomplished.
The 2011-2012 Annual Fund will begin on October 15th,
2011. The first centerpiece event, “Grands’ Day,” is on November
22, 2011. Another event that supports Annual Fund is the big “B.A.S.H.”
in February. This is a themed evening event of fun, food, and music
with a live auction of class projects specifically designed for
B.A.S.H. (Building A Scholastic
Heritage). The goal of Annual Fund is 100%
participation for all school constituencies. No gift is too small as
participation is the key!
Here are some important facts about the annual fund:
-
Tuition and
fees cover approximately 70% of the cost of educating a child at
Colleton Prep. The remaining 30% is supplemented by unrestricted
gifts to the Annual Fund, Capital Campaign, as well as by other
revenues.
-
To attract and
retain the finest and most committed teachers, Prep must provide
a competitive compensation package. Annual Fund contributions
reinforce to our faculty that we all value their unparalleled
role in educating our students.
-
The annual
fund takes the “stress” out of the operating budget.
