COLLETON PREPARATORY ACADEMY
TUITION AND FEE INFORMATION FOR 2012- 2013
l.
TUITION:
Tuition for
Grades 1-12 for 2012-13 is Forty-Eight Hundred ($4800.00)
Dollars. Contracts must be accompanied by a first payment (see
payment options). Those received by the March 9th
deadline will receive priority in sections that are limited. A
late enrollment fee of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars shall be added
to each contract returned to the school after March 9, 2012 for
currently enrolled students.
Note:
There may be an additional charge per class for courses where a
student also earns college credit (dual credit). Charge is
determined by tuition rates at the college. There is also an
additional charge per class for Advanced Placement courses.
Tuition discounts:
The third child in a
family unit with three or more children enrolled at CPA will receive
a $700 discount. The fourth child in a family unit with four or more
children enrolled at CPA will receive a full tuition scholarship.
If an enrolled family
refers another family to CPA, and the referred family enrolls a
child(ren) at CPA, the referring family will receive a $50 discount
on one child’s tuition.
ll.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Option A: Monthly
Payments: One payment of Four Hundred ($400.00) Dollars is due
with the contract (on March 9th, 2012 for currently
enrolled students), and equal payments monthly thereafter for the
unpaid balance with the last payment due February 1, 2013. Payment
is due by the 1st of each month beginning April 1, 2012.
Any payment made after the 10th of the month will result
in a late charge of $30.00 per month.
Option B: Four
Payments:
A
deposit of Twelve Hundred ($1200.00) Dollars is due with the
contract; and three additional payments in the amount of Twelve
Hundred ($1200.00) Dollars each are due and payable on June 1, 2011,
August 1, 2012, and November 1, 2012. Payments made ten days after
the due date will result in a late charge of $30.00 per
month.
Option C: Payment in
Full.
A
deposit of $1200.00 is due with the contract and all tuition and
Building Fund balance shall be paid in full by July 1, 2012.
Payments made ten days after the due date will result in a late
charge of $30.00 per month.
In
addition to any monthly late fees as stated above, after February 1,
2013, there will be a two percent (2%) per month finance charge on
any balance due on each contract.
III.
BUILDING FUND FEES
A.
For each new student entering the first grade through the
tenth grade the Building Fund Fee is Seven Hundred Fifty ($750.00)
Dollars. Any amounts previously paid towards the Building Fund Fee
during a student’s attendance in the Kindergarten 4 or Kindergarten
5 program, shall be deducted from the Building Fund Fee balance upon
the student’s enrollment in first grade.
B.
For a new student entering the eleventh grade, the Building
Fund Fee is in the amount of Four Hundred Fifty ($450.00) Dollars,
and for a new student entering the twelfth grade, Two Hundred Fifty
($250.00) Dollars.
C. For students
enrolled prior to January 1, 2011, no Building Fund Fee is assessed
on the fourth child in a family, provided the Building Fund Fees
were paid for the first three children. For all new students
enrolled after January 1, 2011, a Building Fund Fee shall be paid
for each student enrolled in the School.
The Building Fund Fee
may be paid in full with the contract (not later than the opening
day of school) or monthly in equal installments calculated so that
the Building Fund Fee is paid in full by February 1, 2013.
IV.
SCHOLARSHIP-FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE:
Colleton Preparatory
Academy offers financial assistance for qualifying families. We
partner with an external evaluation organization, School and
Student Services (SSS) an arm of the National Association of
Independent Schools (NAIS) to assist us in making financial aid
determinations. Using the assessment by SSS, the Scholarship-
Financial Aid Committee of the Board of Directors determines how
much assistance can be offered to a family based on the School’s
overall budget. Awards are made to students in good standing and
based upon the family’s financial need. Parents must submit to the
school a signed student contract with deposit to apply and be
considered for scholarship-financial aid.
Facts About Financial
Assistance:

· There is a
nominal filing fee.
· The
deadline to apply for financial aid for returning students is April

PLEASE NOTE AS
STATED ON YOUR TUITION CONTRACT AGREEMENT:
Whenever a tuition or fee shall become past due for a period of
over thirty (30) days from its due date and unless the School
shall determine that an extenuating circumstance exists, the
student may not participate in any extracurricular activities,
including but not limited to any sports, arts programs, or
academic competitions, until the account is paid up to date. If
an account is delinquent for more than sixty (60) days at the
end of a grading period, then the student will not be allowed to
attend classes until the account is paid up to date.

KINDERGARTEN (K4) or (K5) TUITION AND FEE INFORMATION FOR 2012- 2013
I. TUITION
Tuition for K4
Kindergarten for 2012-13 is Thirty-Five Hundred ($3500.00) Dollars.
Tuition for K5 Kindergarten is Four Thousand ($4000.00)
Dollars. Contracts must be accompanied by a first payment
(see payment options). Kindergarten contracts are offered for a
period of ten days. Thereafter, the available place will be
offered to the next qualified applicant.
Tuition discounts:
The third child in a
family unit with three or more children enrolled at CPA will receive
a $700 discount. The fourth child in a family unit with four or more
children enrolled at CPA will receive a full tuition scholarship.
If an enrolled family
refers another family to CPA, and the referred family enrolls a
child(ren) at CPA, the referring family will receive a $50 discount
on one child’s tuition.

priority given to CPA students in the 2011-2012 K4 class) and equal
monthly payments thereafter for the unpaid balance.

of the month will result in a late charge of $30.00 per month.
Option B: Four Payments:
K4:
A deposit
of Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five ($875.00) Dollars is due with the
contract and three additional payments in the amount of Eight
Hundred and Seventy-Five ($875.00) Dollars each are due and payable
on June 1, 2012, August 1, 2012, and November 1, 2012. Payments made
ten days after the due date will result in a late charge of $30.00
per month.
K5:
A deposit
of One Thousand ($1000.00) Dollars is due with the contract; and
three additional payments in the amount of One Thousand ($1000.00)
Dollars each are due and payable on June 1, 2012, August 1, 2012,
and November 1, 2012. Payments made ten days after the due date will
result in a late charge of $30.00 per month.
Option C: Payment in Full.
K4:
A deposit
of Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five ($875.00) due with the contract;
and all tuition and Building Fund balance shall be paid in full by
July 1, 2012. Payments made ten days after the due date will result
in a late charge of $30.00 per month.
K5:
A deposit
of One Thousand ($1000.00) Dollars due with the contract; and all
tuition and Building Fund balance shall be paid in full by July 1,
2012. Payments made ten days after the due date will result in a
late charge of $30.00 per month.
In

10, 2013, there will be a two percent (2%) per month finance charge
on any balance due on each contract
II.
BUILDING FUND
A Building Fund Fee of
Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars is due for each year a student
is enrolled in a Kindergarten program at Colleton Preparatory
Academy. Any Building Fund Fees paid during the enrollment of a
student in a Kindergarten program shall be deducted from the
Building Fund Fee due when a student enters the first grade.
The Building Fund Fee
may be paid in full with the contract or monthly in equal
installments calculated so that the Building Fund Fee is paid in
full by February 1, 2013.
